Section Information
The Purpose of the Section
The principal purpose of the section in the Order of the
Arrow is twofold: first, to provide direct inter-lodge contact through an annual Section Conclave that provides
fellowship, training, and inspiration and second, to provide a mentoring relationship to the lodges in the section.
This exchange of ideas by lodge and chapter leaders results in mutual improvement in creating and administering
the programs of the Order of the Arrow. In addition, the section provides leadership development opportunities
for youth; fosters understanding of the National OA policies and procedures; coordinates OA programs of benefit
to the lodges in the section; and serves as an communication link between the lodges, the region, and the National OA Committee. |
